Terms of Service and Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026

These terms apply between you as a participant ("you") and Milka Sakic Mennell, sole proprietor, trading as Klimadance ("Klimadance", "we"), when you register for a dance course via klimadance.com. By completing your registration, you accept these terms.

Please note that these terms are a translation of our Swedish terms provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Swedish version prevails, and the agreement is governed by Swedish law.

1. About us

Business: Milka Sakic Mennell (sole proprietor / enskild firma)
Location: Sävedalen, Sweden
Email: klimadance@gmail.com
Website: klimadance.com

The business is not VAT-registered and prices are shown without VAT (exempt under the Swedish small-business exemption).

2. Registration and binding agreement

Registration is made via klimadance.com. The agreement becomes binding once you have received a confirmation email. Please keep the confirmation — it serves as your receipt. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide (name, email, any health information) is accurate.

We reserve the right to decline a registration, for example if the course is full or if a previous payment is outstanding.

Participants under 18. The minimum age for each course is stated in the course information on klimadance.com. If the participant is under 18, registration must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the participant's behalf and is responsible for payment.

3. Prices and payment

The course price is shown at the time of registration on klimadance.com. Payment is made at registration via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). We never handle your card details — these are processed entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified.

4. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the agreement without stating a reason within 14 days from the day the confirmation was sent to you (Chapter 2, Section 10 of the Swedish Distance Contracts Act).

How to withdraw: Send a message to klimadance@gmail.com stating your name, which course you are withdrawing from, and that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. You may also use the standard withdrawal form provided by the Swedish Consumer Agency: publikationer.konsumentverket.se/kontrakt-och-mallar/angerblankett.

If the course begins during the withdrawal period: By accepting these terms, you expressly request that the course may begin before the withdrawal period has expired, and you agree that your right of withdrawal does not cover classes already held at the time you withdraw. We are then entitled to retain a proportional part of the course fee corresponding to the classes already delivered.

Refund: We refund any amount you are entitled to no later than 14 days after we receive your notice, to the same payment method used at purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed.

5. Cancellation after the withdrawal period

Once the withdrawal period has passed, you may still cancel, but the following refund rules apply:

Time of cancellation Refund 30 days or more before course start 80 % of the course fee 10–29 days before course start 50 % of the course fee Less than 10 days before course start, or after the course has started no refund

Serious impediment. If you cannot complete the course due to serious illness (yours or a close family member's, supported by a medical certificate), accident, bereavement, or another comparable event you could not have foreseen, we refund the fee for classes not yet held, regardless of when the cancellation is made.

Cancellations must be made in writing to klimadance@gmail.com and take effect on the date we receive the message.

6. If we cancel a course

Each course has a minimum number of participants, stated in the course information on klimadance.com. If this number is not met — or if the course must otherwise be cancelled — we will notify you as soon as possible and refund the full course fee.

If individual classes must be cancelled during an ongoing course (e.g. due to instructor illness), we will first attempt to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a proportional part of the course fee is refunded.

7. Missed classes

The course fee covers the right to participate in the entire course. If you miss individual classes for reasons on your side — other commitments, short illness, travel — no refund or make-up class on another course is provided.

8. Your responsibility as a participant

Dance is a physical activity and you participate at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring that your health allows you to take part. If you have injuries, illnesses, are pregnant, or have anything else that may affect your ability to participate safely, please inform the instructor before the first class.

You are expected to follow the instructor's instructions, respect other participants, wear appropriate clothing and shoes, and arrive on time. We reserve the right to end your participation without refund in the event of repeated behaviour that disturbs or obstructs other participants.

9. Photography and video

By default, participants are not photographed or filmed during classes. If, in specific cases, we wish to use photos or video for marketing purposes, written consent is obtained from every person visible in the material before publication. Consent can always be withdrawn.

10. Personal data

We process your personal data (name, email, any health information you share with us, payment reference) in order to administer your registration and deliver the course. Payment-related data is kept for seven years in accordance with Swedish bookkeeping law; other data is deleted when no longer needed.

Card details are never stored by us — they are handled by Stripe.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Send requests to klimadance@gmail.com. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).

11. Complaints and disputes

If you are not satisfied, please contact klimadance@gmail.com and we will try to resolve the issue directly.

If we cannot agree, you may turn to:

  • The Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) — arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm. We follow ARN's recommendations.

  • EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for cancelled or delayed classes caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as pandemics, government decisions, fire, or serious illness of the instructor. We will first try to reschedule affected classes; if that is not possible, a proportional part of the course fee is refunded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time of your registration applies to your course. The latest version is always available at klimadance.com.

14. Governing law

The agreement is governed by Swedish law. Any disputes are settled by Swedish general courts, with Göteborgs tingsrätt as the court of first instance.
